We love Casa Alde, and make it a point of grabbing breakfast tacos here at least once every time we're in town. Chips and salsa are killer, but it's really the homemade tortillas that make a difference. Best taco is bean+egg+potato: the beans are great.
MoreGood service. Very good chorizo and eggs. Nice and cozy. The owners know many of the patrons. A local favorite...the breakfast tacos are numerous and fantastic.
MorePlaced a to go order and told 15 mins. 1st half came out in 15 mins, and sat another 15 mins waiting on other half. Asked mgr if they could have timed it better, and he said "no, it comes out of two kitchens". Guess it falls to the customer to figure out how to time your ordering
MoreThe food and service was great! Try the fattie!
The barbacoa was delicious. Just the right mixture of meat and fat. Pancakes are to die for. Everything homemade. Love it!
MoreNeed to remodel the place bathroom stinks have to be remodeled never did no work to it since day one that's why we go to Garcia
MoreHand made thick flour tortillas are some days better than others but are always much better than factory made. Fantastic people running a fantastic restaurant
MoreGood food and service
Great little cafe!
Nice family restaurant. I wasn't too crazy about the food. Go try it for yourself. I don't want to say anything bad about the food, because what I've learned is my taste buds are different than alot of the locals.
MoreGood place for hair cut for kids but expensive.
Good service and Food I will go back again
By far some of the greatest people to speak to. And some of the greatest home cooked food, also to mention you get your money's worth when you're here.
MoreA most enjoyable place to go for great food and excellent service. Their selection is amazing and their service is hands down excellent. So glad that we found this location and are excited to go back and try more of their amazing food
MoreThey are always friendly and nice. Great service
Lunch on a Sunday. Seated quickly and drink/entree order taken quickly. Then we went through two things of chips and salsa waiting for our food. They were very busy with several large groups so this may be out of the ordinary.Fajitas tasted good but they were tough. Food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Price was good $17 for two meals, two drinks and one side taco.
MoreYummy food and good service in a great location.
They have a super awesome breakfast and it's always busy. That's all I've been there for so I can't comment on their dinners. They still offer chips and salsa even at breakfast and of course I had them. The chips are fried there in the restaurant. Fun, small town atmosphere supporting a family that's been in Buda for a long time. The owners are great people.
MoreAwesome and always perfect.
the people are always very friendly and fast to help. amazing breakfast tacos on homemade tortillas. a must if in Buda!
MoreHad the Main Street Migas. They are amazing. Queso and carne guisada on top! This is my morning stop.
MorePlace was nice and cozy, enchiladas were good the cheese with red sauce... I'm very picky and my mom is worse... These were good. Their hot sauce was ok, not much flavor. Beans were good, ride was ok. Service was friendly, walked in ordered and left. Will go back to try something else... I'm looking for a good Mexican food, good atmosphere good, decent prices.
MoreFood is great, service has improved and is timely.
I came here on a whim. I was told that I must eat there, and that its a local favorite. Well, I have to agree. This place is awesome! The food didn't take long to get to me. I went there around the lunch hour too. It's small and quaint, but offers a charm that only a small town can offer. I'd say this is Buda's best kept secret. I got the tamale lunch plate. It was amazing! They don't have dinner hours, and close at 2:00p.m. So I recommend you come early for breakfast or lunch!
MoreVery disappointed. Food wasn't bad but ultra plain and certainly not authentic Mexican food. Service was the same. The waitress was nice but seemed to never gave been a waitress before. By far my least favorite restaurant in downtown Buda.
MoreBest breakfast taco in the world!!
Food was good, prices reasonable; however, my coffee cup had a stuck on glob of something that wasn't noticable until I drank 2/3 of the cup...gross!
MoreI’ve been coming here for years after being introduced by someone who had been coming his whole life. Today was the first time I brought the family, so it’s been a while. But it’s still the same wonderful place that I remembered. And the family loved the food. The menu has expanded a little since I was last there, but the tortillas are still homemade fantastic, and the pancake was perfect and bigger than your face, literally.Helen's Casa Alde is still my favorite breakfast place anywhere in central Texas, and I live in Austin, so that says something. I make it a point to come here whenever I’m in the area at breakfast time, which unfortunately is much less than it used to be. It was packed full of people today, and service took a while, but that’s to be expected on a Saturday morning with a place this small that is so good.Still love this place.
MoreVery disappointed in this place! Owners not very friendly and wait staff stressed out not to upset the owners! I stopped going after 10yrs of dedicated service, never once address my family or even the men's ministry I brought in. I forget my personal coffee mug with family pics on it only to go back later and owner told me he threw it out! Even my 5yr old son said "that's not very nice! We just walk out and won't go back.
MoreMan, for $8 you can grt an amazing pork chop. Love the tacos...
Awesome food and atmosphere! A killer combination. The staff is incredible!
The owners are awesome and food is great
Friday burger night is so darn delish!
One of my families favorite places to go on a Saturday morning. The owners and their staff are awesome. The food is always delicious and the portions are great. The Fattie taco lives up to its name.
MoreAlways so good!! It had been a couple years since we were in the area but HAD to stop!!
MoreVery good food and fast service. If you're looking for breakfast tacos on the go for a good price, look no further. I only wish there was more seating and that there was more lighting! Just a chandelier in the center or lights hanging from the wall could make a big difference since natural light seems absent.
MoreBest breakfast tacos in buda.
Always good.. fatty taco for breakfast or the pork tamales with fried eggs on top.. what else could you ask for..
MoreWe really like the ambiance, and breakfast is a good meal for Mexican. They do have sinple waffles and pancakes that are pretty good for kids who don't want anything more exciting, or if you just can't say no to French toast. For us it's really the atmosphere that will make is return. This is also the best place to order out tacos from here.
MoreIt takes quite a bit to knock my socks off taco-wise, well, Casa Alde really did. Best breakfast tacos I've probably ever had - what a lovely surprise. Trying the fish tacos soon, can't wait - maybe today!
MoreToday was the first time I've ever gone before...it could've gone better for a first impression. The server we had was all over the place and somehow mistook us saying a chocolate chip waffle for two tacos. The tortillas for the tacos were too hard as well, but personally my omelet was pretty great. I suggest though the toast should come without butter because it tasted too buttery like Texas toast. Also I highly suggest not to use the bathroom, very dirty back there.
MoreLove this place! Yes, the food takes a while to come out, but it is SOOO worth it.
MoreCute little restaurant with great breakfast tacos! Have gluten free options. The homemade tortillas are excellent
MoreGood food. Certainly not a place that is easily accessible with any large vehicle. Personally, I feeling the prices are a little high for what you get. One thing I got was a "specialty" taco for $3.75 that was about 3-4 bites and the meat tasted like pot roast. Certainly disappointed.
MoreThey have the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. Homemade tortillas and they fill them full.
MoreWe enjoy Casa Alde. Good food and friendly service.
Great food. I just wish the staff was more attentive. They are nice, just really bad service. Wait staff disappears for long periods at a time. What are they doing back there? Just wait 10 minutes for someone to walk by to ask for a to go box
MoreGreat food especially the Fattie (you can only eat one). The waitresses are great and the service is fast. Very nice morning brunch spot on the weekend. Oh yea...there mimosas are awesome too!!
MoreWait for a table was around 8 minutes. Wait for food was around 15 minutes. Omelette was better than Dan's Hamburgers.
MoreGreat big yummy burritos for $5
